Lindsay’s Unshared Words:Pieces of her heart and story

There are a few words Lindsay left behind that she never had the chance to share.

Lindsay created this blog as a place to share her story, her life, her struggles, and so much of the love that filled her. After she passed, we found a few blog entries on her phone that she had written but never posted. As hard as it is to read them, we feel in our hearts that they deserve to be shared.

Lindsay never once stopped fighting to live. She hated being called “strong,” but there was no denying the incredible will to live that carried her through many more years than her diagnosis predicted. She was the bravest person I have ever known.

More than anything, Lindsay wanted to be here. She wanted to be there for Paul and her kids. She wanted to watch them grow, to share the life they were building together, and to experience all the ordinary and extraordinary moments that she knew she might miss. As she became so sick, she still pushed her children to keep living—to keep laughing, growing, playing, and moving forward—even when her own body was making that harder and harder.

And somehow, she also found peace in knowing that so much was out of her control.

Her greatest legacy will always be her children. She embedded her love so deeply within them that they carry it with them every day. They feel her love because she made sure it would live inside of them long after she was gone.

It is with so much heartache, love, and admiration for my sister that I share these posts. They are pieces of her heart, pieces of her story, and pieces of the story that will forever belong to all of us who love her.

There is so much more love to share. And I think that is one of the hardest parts of this grief—you can have so much love left for someone and nowhere to put it.

So we will put some of that love here.

The following 3 posts are typed by me but are my sister’s words, and they are forever a part of her story and ours.

With love,

Jamie
