I am not scared, I am just sad. (Written by Lindsay Fall 2025)
Talking death, planning my last days is awkward, weird and like an out of body experience. I’m not scared to die and I have peace – thanks to lots of therapy and brilliant minds supporting me along my journey.
But I am sad. I don’t like to miss out and I am sad to miss out on this beautiful life. Sad to miss the time Paul and I could have had.
Sad to miss my kids growing and big decision they’ll soon have to make.
Ever since 2017 – everything I’ve tried has kept me going as long as I have.
Additional Words to share
In Lindsay’s last days, she was no longer able to communicate or respond to the countless texts and messages she received from family and friends, but we believe she felt every single one of them. Every word of love, every prayer, every message reminding her that she was not alone.
When the moments allowed, she was present with her children. She was able to tell her people that she loved them, and they were able to hold her, hug her, and tell her they loved her too. Those moments were precious beyond words.
Her battle was brutal. It was unfair. And yet, Lindsay handled it with such grace and humility.
She handled it the only way Lindsay would—with fierce love and with no regrets.
She never stopped fighting to live. And even when her body could no longer do what she wanted it to, the love she had given so freely remained all around her. In her children. In her family. In her friends. In every person who loved her and continues to carry her with them.
We hope sharing these final words and these memories gives a glimpse into who Lindsay was—not just in the years she was fighting, but in the way she loved all the way to the end.
Mrs Captain Ron will forever be our guiding light!
