Thank you and Tcell update

Median survival after a metastatic OM diagnosis is 9 months – but treatments are being researched in clinical trials (Melanoma Research Foundation)

SO…..I learned of my mets in Aug of 2021 and my first two treatment options did not work. Praying I am lucky and my latest TIL clinical trial does but more research, clinical trials and treatment options must be available.

A year ago my family partnered with the MRF and created the Options Bring Hope research grant to further research focusing on patients with metastatic Ocular Melanoma. In early June, the 2nd annual event took place with a sold out crowd and lots of love and support. Because of generous support, the research goal of $250K was met.

Thank you to all that joined the event and from afar supported. My family and I are forever humbled and grateful and we are excited to keep progressing research.

Progress = Power

Me Update: I heard from Allyson, UPMC TIL Research nurse this week and research labs came back very positive. They indicate the Tcells that were infused into my body on 2/14/23 are still very active and thriving in my body. The theory is – strong, active Tcells would equal stable or improved lesions in my liver. SO – right now I hold onto the HOPE that this theory remains true for me. Scans and more research labs are end of July.

Love to all along my journey.
